Candle Care Guide: Tips & Instructions

Who does not like the idea of sitting back for a while in leisure to recline and spend some quality time with oneself or maybe in the company of someone special? A perfect ambience is all you need to complement your mood. And if the ambience is warmly candle lit and graced up with a soothing aroma, then well, say no more.

To grace up your home décor, ambience and your mood, we bring to you our Fernweh scented soy wax candles in our signature Autumn fragrance to give you and your leisure an experience of our addictive bittersweet undertones. The main accords of vanilla, orchid blossom and dry wood.

While we absolutely fall in love with the divinity of a scented candle, the candles too look for some love and care from us to give us optimal contentment. If not given the right care and attention, your classy candles might as well get a little crafty and unruly with tunnel, uneven burns or even sooty glasses. To have a flawless experience with our scented candles, let us look into a few tricks to take the best care of them.

Trimming The Wick

It is very important to trim the wick to it’s correct size to maintain the longevity of the candle. Keeping the wick only around 5-6mm long keeps the flame in perfect size, allowing it a longer life. To add, it also avoids sooting and retains a clean surface for the candle.

Perfect Burn

To avoid uneven or tunnel burning of the candle, one must let the candle burn until the entire wax surface of the candle melts evenly. While this might take a little time, it helps the candle maintain an even surface and adds up another way for its longer burn life. Keeping it away from wind is also another plus to avoid uneven burning and faded scent.

Avoid Fading away of the fragrance

Too many air outlets or open doors and windows cause the fragrance to diffuse and fade. To keep the fragrance strong and concentrated, it is advisable to keep the doors and windows closed.

Cleaning the Candles

To retain the aesthetics and charm of the candles, it must always be kept clean. Accumulation of soot, debris and fingerprints on the glass surface can be very common situation. However, this can be easily overcome by simply wiping the surface with a soft dry or slightly wet cloth or a paper towel when the candle is extinguished and cool.
